Welcome to Bognor Regis

00:15 Thursday 31st July, 2014

Bognor Regis is a pleasant seaside town situated on the south coast of England, approximately half way between Porstmouth and Brighton and has more recorded hours of sunshine* than anywhere else in Britain.

This site is being developed to give you news and information about Bognor Regis and its surrounding countryside. It is aiming to be the first place you look for news and events and to find local resources and details of local businesses.

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding more and more local information. Our long term goal is to provide a valuable resource to all of the local community, and also to encourage visitors from outside the area to come and see what Bognor Regis has to offer.

Bognor Pier

Brighton is not the only town on the south coast with a Pier!

The site is being updated on a regular basis, but we urgently need people to help out with articles and features. We are particularly interested in forthcoming events for our diary section.

We are particularly keen to recruit authors from the local community. If you've got something to say, say it on BognorRegis.co.uk!

What is Bognor-Regis.co.uk?

* It's official! Bognor Regis had the highest recorded sunshine hours in Britain in 1996 and 1998 to reinforce its consistent good record. Meteorological Office statistics show Bognor Regis has regularly been at or near the top of the British sunshine league. That is because Bognor Regis lies in the lee of Selsey Bill, sheltered by the Isle of Wight and the South Downs, bad weather tends to track north or south leaving us dry and sunny.
