)Matters Arising - There were no items raised under this heading.

)Report from Steering Group - There was no report from this group as there had not been a meeting.

)Report on Low Speed Zone and Home Zone Workshops - Guy Parfect corrected the terminology of the Agenda by pointing-out that the Workshops were in fact a joint exhibition held over three consecutive days at the Arena. The overall turnout was 260 people over the three days - most visiting on the Saturday. The voting so far is indicating a clear choice in favour of the trafitional look for the Home Zone, but as the turnout from the Home Zone streets is only 50% further consultation will be undertaken by post and by door-knocking to obtain a clear majority for one of the three style choices. Comments recorded by residents visiting the exhibition included concern over parking arrangements in the area of the proposed road closure, and litter dropping. There was, however, strong overall support for the 20 mph Zone, with psychological measures favoured over humps. Provision for pedestrians to be added to the Hawthorn Road traffoic lights has also been requested. Measures proposed for Frith Road are currently considered by this group and the Frith Road residents as insufficient.

)Constitution - Deferred.

)Report on Current Status of Street Reps - This item was also deferred as no information update had been supplied by SRA prior to this meeting. It was suggested that a letter should be sent to SRA Ltd. requesting they deal with this item as a matter of urgency and provide the required updated information before the next meeting.

)Any Other Business - The Secretary thanked all group members who assisted with leaflet distribution prior to the recent exhibition. A member of the Group suggested that maybe those residents in the Home Zone streets who (for whatever reason) were unable to tidy their own front gardens to help the image of the Home Zone could be offered assistance by the Group. Details of the Pevensey Project were circulated to all present.

)Date of Next Meeting - The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 24th September 2003 at 7.00 pm at the Glade Infants School Hall.
