Restaurant Review - The Bistro
15/04/03 - by Diane
Hubbie and I popped in on a Tuesday evening. No trouble getting a table - the restaurant has not been open very long and has yet to develop a regular clientele.
Service was friendly and efficient, let down only by having to read the menu from the board rather than from a regular menu in your hand.
Waiting time was minimal. The food was great. We both had deep fried calamari to start followed by steak in pepper sauce for Hubbie and duck in cherry sauce for me.
Those with small appetites need not apply. The starter was almost a main course in itself and by the time we'd finished the main course, neither of us had room for a sweet.
Prices were very reasonable, especially when you consider you probably won't need breakfast.
