A mainly shingle beach with some sand at low tide. It is backed by a promenade and has a pier. This is a well managed family resort beach.
Water Quality
No routine sewage discharge has been identified but there is a combined sewer overflow (CSO) in the area, so care should be taken when bathing after heavy rainfall.
Bathing Safety
This is considered a safe beach and there are emergency facilities available.
Litter
The beach is cleaned regularly. Dogs are not allowed on the beach during the summer and must be kept on leads on the promenade.
